May 12, 2024: Greetings from Austin.
"Life is about choosing your opportunities. Each choice we make acts to open up new opportunities and simply removes others from the table."
This has been on my mind for days now. Thank you for sharing this interview and these ideas. Your work is making a difference.
Keep on fighting the good fight!
Thanks for the shout out Paul!
Looking forward to the new book release!
Cool to see the story featuring the familiar name at the top :-)
Ahhh realizing clearly that there are spaces across the Cozy Web where you can be yourself is such a game changer for any kind of block. Be it the writers block, creative block or identity block 😮💨
On finding our intrinsic motivation via breaks...
Everyone loves referencing Ikigai (the Japanese concept around finding "a reason for being").
But the mistake I made, and see in others:
- overweighting "What I can be paid for" + "What I am good at", and
- severely discounting "What I love" + "What the world needs."
Breaks can help us reconnect with those 2 parts, that have less to do with "our market."
yup! I write about the ikigai delusion in my book!
nice, go kill that sacred cow!
also, just too many circles in that thing. too confusing.
venn diagrams are useless after circle #2.
Looking forward to your new book, Paul
