My "Awakening"
"The second chapter of my career had nothing to do with a job. It started with me becoming progressively sick over six months and then a year-long battle to regain my health. In that time I was forced to question everything I believed and was forced to look at the world, my life, and career with a different lens."
A quote from a piece I just shared on my site about my journey over the past five years. What has become increasingly clear from this journey is that while I have luckily been set up to confidently navigate the future, many are not. I want to devote my time to helping as many people as possible to carve their own unique paths in today's world.

What has me thinking...
Rudeness
McKinsey has a report out showing that rudeness in the workplace has increased over the past twenty years. A survey asking people if they have been treated rudely by a colleague at least once per month has seen an increase in the people saying yes from 49% of people in 1998 to 62% in 2016. Despite making me sad, it is becoming increasingly clear that many jobs in the corporate world are more frustrating and stressful than ever. I believe rudeness may be a symptom of the complexity and overwhelm that people are feeling and the fact that people do not have the tools to navigate the working world or create their own future. I hope I can make a dent in helping people develop tools.
Do you think people are becoming ruder at your office?

Super Bowl Minisode
I experimented with a shorter 20-minute episode where I interviewed the author of "Where Others Won't" Cody Royle - who shared what lessons the business world can learn from sports.Â
I am also giving away two of Cody's books if you share the episode or post on social media with the tag #boundlesspod or just reply with a screenshot of you subscribing. Winner to be announced on March 1st.

The "Future of Work" to me means building stronger connections between people. I created a Patreon page to better align my energy and efforts with the people that find value in the work. I'll be experimenting with different ways to engage and bring value to this group. If you want to support my efforts or appreciate someone experimenting while not being sure where things are headed, feel free to consider supporting me...
