Congratulations Paul. Your success is so-well deserved. Of course you know I am a big fan of the book and your writing, but even more than that, you back up everything you've written with the experiments you're running and decisions you're making. I'm guessing that is helping book sales, that who you are in real life is fully aligned with what you've written about and that you're modeling what pathless success looks like.
Been loving the book-related content recently. Hearing how you've found so much good work and connection by putting your book out there has me feeling re-inspired to explore what I could write a book about. Would be rad if you could facilitate something around getting more people to write books - like an accelerator of sorts. Just a thought I'd be happy to jam on some time
Congratulations!! I recommend your book to a friend at least once a month, usually following a deep conversation about "what's the point of work anyway?".
Hey Paul, thank you so much for sharing all this 'behind doors' information with us. This is very insightful and helpful for those of us who consider perhaps writing a book one day (haven't taken the leap yet, far away from it at the moment, but nonetheless very appreciative). And congratulations of course, on the deserved success of the book! I really appreciate the sincerity and genuineness in your book and newsletters.
I got introduced to your work through Ali’s newsletter and I immediately added the book to read list then. And I finally got around to read it some three months back, and it has moved me in so many ways.
I thank you Paul for writing it, it validated many of my feelings and gave structure to some of the serious concerns I had regarding how we view ourselves and the life we have.
The book was already a success. These purchases are only lagging indicators of the true impact it has had.
Congratulations. Great post. I am one of the people who bought your book after Ali's podcast. I love the way your journey is one of low expectations and continuous surprises. That feels like a lovely way to approach the writerly life, and in line with the concept of the pathless path. I look forward to reading more.
Not saying I'll finish my collection of essays any time soon, but this perspective has given me a confidence boost I didn't know I needed. Thank you, Paul!

This is such a valuable post - thank you for so freely sharing. I will re-read this a number of times.
I am writing a fiction novel and self publishing is definitely back under very serious consideration.
Very cool. I know fiction is a slightly different game but I imagine still some potential lessons.

How many books have you written?
Paul, did you do your own reading for the audiobook?
Yes

Wow, what a great story!
